Workshop for new Human Library organizers in Edinburgh
Do you want to know more about hosting a Human Library at your institution? And are you interested in maybe becoming a local Living Library organizer?. Then you may want to join the upcoming workshop for new organizers in Edinburgh, Scotland.
This workshop will take place on March 19th, from 10 a.m. at Nelson Hall, McDonald Road Library in Edinburgh. The all day workshop with lunch included will be facilitated by experienced organizers responsible for the CILIP local level Human Library project in the UK last year. In cooperation with staff behind last years succes at the Edinburgh Festival of Libraries.
The training aims to create a more in-depth understanding of this
innovative service that has recently been piloted in libraries and
other community locations in the UK.
Participants will be able to evaluate the benefits of running a Living
Library session in their local community, and be able to understand
what is needed to run a Human Library.
Participants can register on-line for the event using the weblink provided below. The registration charge for the workshop is 50GBP and 35GBP for Cilip members.
The registration deadline is March 12th, 2009.
