Human Library at Winnipeg Public Library, Millenium branch, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Winnipeg Public Library
hosted their first Human Library event in 2011, with 24 diverse people
who came from a range of backgrounds but all had experienced racism,
prejudice or stereotyping. Readers and books had over 225 conversations 3 days and the feedback was extremely positive. So Winnipeg PL want to continue with a 2nd event and continue the work of breaking those barriers.
Once again the Winnipeg Public Library will host a 3 day Human Library event starting on January 24th, 2013. This year the event is part of the national Human Library Day in Canada, with 24 events in fifteen cities across the country.
Dont miss out on this outstanding event featuring a variety of Human Books that are sure to challenge you.
The Human Library at the Millennium Library branch is organized in a
partnership between Winnipeg Public Library, CBC Radio and the Canadian
