The Vegan
A book of choice in the sense that this is not something the person is born with such as the disabled can be. You make a decision to be a vegan and its far from everybody that understands the choice or the practical ramifications. Below a short listing of the stereotypes and prejudices circulating about this group.
Brief summary of prejudices:
Being a vegan is just an opportunity to try and be different from the rest of us. A reason to try and be superior, that you can live without the temptation from the juicy beef. Naturally a vegan looks down on all meat eaters, not really a hippie but a wannabe. Thinks of themself as people with an activistic approach to life. Use the choice not to eat meat to make a statement. Rarely look healthy and often appear malnourished. Defined by meat lovers as radicals or extremists. And a fly in the ointment at every good steak house dinner with friends. "I´ll have the salad and some tofu"... Here is a free piece of advice, dont invite a vegan to dinner if you want to enjoy the meal, now its said.
