Human Library - Take out a prejudice

Part of the Living Libraries Australia networkHuman Library at Tresca Community Centre, Exeter, Australia

The Launceston City Councils Human Library program is expanding to other towns around Tasmania. The Human Library celebrates diversity and challenges stereotypes and prejudices in the local community by encouraging residents to engage with people they may never otherwise meet through visits to the Human Library. On April 14th visitors to the Tresca Community Centre in Exeter can take out Living Books.

The project is a Tasmanian first, developed through a partnership between the Launceston City Council, WD Booth Charitable Trust, Metro Tasmania and the Launceston Library.
