Human Library - Take out a prejudice

New organizers guide to be published soon

Twelve years ago the first Human Library took place at Roskilde Festival in Denmark. In 2005 the first Guide to organizers was published in partnership with the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Council of Europe. Last year it was decided to revise the guide and update it with developments on methodology and the many experiences of local organizers around the world.

So we are happy to announce that the new Guide to organizers will be published this spring again in partnership with Europes largest Human Rights organization, The Council of Europe and the Nordic Council of Ministers. Both have been strong supporters of the Human Library for more than then years. The Council of Europe has helped bring this idea to more than 45 countries in Europe and the Nordic Council of Ministers supported one of the very first Human Library events outside Denmark, an event held in Oslo, Norway in 2002.

We thank our friends for their continued support and for a strong partnership in the efforts to create understanding for diversity, tolerance and inclusion. More information on the publication to follow soon.
