Human Library - Take out a prejudice

1st Human Library Steering Group Meeting in Norfolk, United Kingdom

The quick advance of the Human Library in the United Kingdom is in large part due to local champions putting a lot of effort and time into promoting the Human Library and even more important helping new local organizers get on their feet. In order to further this work and ensure an even greater implementation of the Human Library in the UK, a national Steering Group has been setup in close coperation with the Human Library Organization.

The UK Steering Group will hold their first meeting on March 16th to discuss next steps on the development of the Human Library in the UK and to further their preparations for the formalization of a UK Human Library national entity that will allow the organization to apply for funding which can help increase the amounts of Human Library events dramatically.

Members of the Steering Group include the authors of the upcoming UK HL Toolkit and in all it is a very diverse group of local HL organizers. The work of the group is facilitated by the newly appointed national Human Library co-ordinator for the United Kingdom, Mr. Martin Etheridge.
