Human Library wins Social Award in Austria.

More recognition for the Human Library. In Austria the organisers of the Human Library was awarded the  "Social Project of the Year" 1st prize last month. In recognition of the methodology´s unique approach to encouraging dialogue between people of different beliefs. Under the title "Living Books - die lebende bibliothek” the organisers where recognised for introducing the most innovative social project of the year. Along with the honors the austrian organisers received 10.000€ for the first prize.

Event of the year in 2000. 

The Human Library won its first award in 2000 at Creative Circle´s Award Show in Copenhagen. The gold medal was awarded in the category ”Event of the year” and last year in Australia, the Human Library was recognised with the ”Grand Marketing Award”. In april this year, a danish organizer won the "Lilttle Brother" Award for the Human Library bus tour project. The continued recognition  of the methodology and its dimensions, can help to spread information and hopefully encourage Human Library activities in even more countries.
