Human Library confirmed in the Holy Land
The list of nations that have taken the Human Library to its heart continues to grow and we are happy to announce that funding for the introduction project in Israel has now been confirmed. In partnership with the local NGO "United Against Racism" the Human Library Organization is proud to be part of the launch of this concept for tolerance and understanding in Israel.
"Well a dream is coming true, when we begin to reach post conflict areas" says Ronni Abergel, founder of the Human Library Organization and one of the creators of the concept. The project will include training sessions for new organizers in Israel in July and actual events to be carried out in September and onward.
This is the 10th anniversary year for the Human Library and so we expect that before the end of this year, the Human Library will be in more than 50 countries worldwide. Other countries expected to join the global family this year includes Switzerland, Egypt, Maldives, Pakistan and Kenya.
More information on the introduction to Israel will follow soon.
