Visitors to the public library in Burlington, Ontario are in for a treat on September 29th, 2012. The local organisers feel that the Human Library fits perfectly with the Burlington Public Librarys ambition to help educate the community on the importance of breaking down barriers of prejudice and stereotypes.
Local organisers are hoping to be able to present “Living Books” representing a variety of topics to entice readers. The titles will include books on topics such as alternative lifestyles, cultural diversity and sexual orientation. The six hour event will also include two “Living Books” aimed a children readers.
As always the services of the Human Library are free to its readers.
