November 8, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Pop by the Human Library where the Books are people and ‘reading’ is a conversation.

Choose from our diverse ‘bookshelf’ of interesting titles, ask the questions you may not usually ask and learn about another life.

We’re celebrating diversity, bringing people from different backgrounds together and changing perceptions at this Human Library for students, staff and visitors – members of the public welcome.

Examples of ‘book’ titles may include Trans, Muslim, Depression, Eastern European Immigrant, Single Parent, Genderqueer, Octogenarian, Bisexual, Asperger’s, Feminist, Atheist, Disabled Benefits Claimant, Anarchist, Lesbian, Wheelchair User and more.

Everyone welcome – just come along on the day to University of Derby – Kedleston Road campus reception.

With thanks to all the volunteers involved in this Human Library event.

If you’d like to explore volunteering to be a human ‘book’ at this event we have a volunteer workshop 2-4pm Wednesday 19th October at the University of Derby – please contact Vanessa at Energise for info: Vanessa@energise.biz
