Oakland Community College wil be hosting their 10th Human Library event on April 7th, 2016.
“I’m proud to say this is the tenth Human Library event I’ve organized. Each time we’ve tried to improve our event which has grown exponentially in interest and enthusiasm. Due to popular demand, we now facilitate two Human Libraries each year, says HL organizer Allison McFadden-Keesling.
The bookshelf at Oakland Community College is expected to include a title on living in a wheelchair, being blind, a deaf book, living in poverty, being a Muslim, being a recovering alcoholic, having a mental illness, living with autism, a domestic violence survivor, the refugee, the lesbian couple, a topic on Alzheimer’s Disease and one on being in an interracial marriage.
Congratulations to Allison & staff and their brave books.
