Dutch organizers produce a Human Library rap.
In the Netherlands (Holland) there are several active Human Library organizers. However there is only one association dedicated only to staging and promoting the Human Library methodology and thats Stichting De Mensenbieb or as they call in Dutch "Die Mensenbieb".
The innovation of this group of volunteers seems to have no boundaries. At the 3rd conference for innovation in the European Union they presented this rap song recorded by two young talented members of the Dutch minority groups.
A strong and personal song about facing prejudices.
As far as is known, its the first song to be published about the Human Library. And its a very strong and personal song that manages to describe the the stigma and consequences of prejudices. But it also sheds light on the dimensions to the methodology and the strong impact it can have on its participants, readers and books alike.
"Human Library sounds nice to me, its a way to progress in equality" is part of the lyrics to the english version of the song. It is also available in Dutch and you are welcome to download the songs for FREE using the links below.
