The preparations are almost complete and readers hopefully are getting ready to invade the five different branches of the Calgary Public Library hostingt their first events today. The Calgary launch is the most ambititous for a single local organizer in the nine year history of the Human Library. Working with human rights is nothing new for the Calgary Public Library, but working with the Human Library is about "creating a culture of understanding among the patrons of the institutions", says Manager of Calgary Central Library and project coordinator, Gerry Burger-Martindale.
