Human Library - Take out a prejudice

The Atlanta-Fulton Public Library is preparing to host their sixth Human Library event to take place at the Central Library branch on March 8th, 2012. This local organizer has become very experienced in only a few years time and so readers are in for a treat if they visit the Central Library.

The Atlanta-Fulton Public Library is not only the largest public library system in Georgia, but also the very first Public Library in the state of Georgia to become an official Local Human Library Organizer. They started hosting Human Library events back in 2009 and already they have delivered five succesfull events to their patrons. The Human Library Organization is proud to partner with the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library system.

Ths time readers are invited to take out titles such as the HIV+, the Homosexual, a Jailor (Corrections Officer), a Local Politician,
a Mormon, a Muslim, a Professional Philosopher, a Sikh, and a Witch (Wiccan religion).

"The Human Library connects our library to the world. It supports the mission of our library which is to intellectually and culturally enrich the lives of our citizens", says Manager of the outreach services department, Mr. James Taylor.

Patrons are allowed to place a hold on books with their library card and as always the services of the Human Library are free to its readers.
